“Sure, why not?”, I thought to myself as my new found friends from the bar down by the docks asked if I’d like to join them for a card game. After a few rounds of five card stud, things got a little more interesting when one of them suggested turning this into a game of strip poker. Lady luck was shining down on me that night, as I cooly drew hand after hand of straights, three-of-a-kinds and flushes. Blouses and skirts were falling off faster than a fat guy on a tight rope. Before long, there I was with these three lovelies who were now topless, left with nothing but a few hose, garters and heels between them. It was when I laid down my full house when things took a dark and serious turn; expecting stockings to start being rolled off and panties to be hitting the floor, my face turned to horror as they leaned their heads back, each with a smile more devilish than the other, and began to peel the flesh slowly from their faces. I knew it was time for me leave.“You can’t just win and run” the brunette said to me with a look on her face that was just as much enticing as it was terrifying. Trying not to let the sheer terror inside me show itself, I pulled off the greatest bluff of the night, sitting back down with determination and confidence. “Deal ‘em”, I said while pouring myself another glass of Johnnie Walker Black. My worries eased as I looked at the cards in my hand; Seven… Eight… Nine… Ten… Jack! YES! A Straight! It was then that the petite one at the far end of the table laid her cards down and gazed into my eyes with a look that seared right into my soul. My heart sunk deep into the pit of my stomach as she coyly whispered… “Sorry Sweetie… ROYAL FLUSH!”.
